The Bible can be a wonderful tool in Awakening, as with everything
in form, when it is Interpreted by the Holy Spirit. The symbols of
the Bible have teaching value if the Holy Spirit is doing the
teaching. The ego will attempt to "quote Scripture" for its purpose
and attempt to induce feelings of guilt, yet the ego can use
anything in form for its insane purpose. You will always feel peace
when the Holy Spirit is using Scripture, and will always experience
upset when the ego seems to be in command. Let how you feel be the
barometer of which teacher you are following in a given moment.
Abide with the Holy Spirit, for you cannot serve two masters and
still find peace. Let the Holy Spirit put the words in your mouth,
for there will be situations in which words or phrases from the
Bible can be used to bring a blessing. The miracle is not under
your control and must be involuntary. Let Christ lead the way and
watch how joyful the experience of sharing seems.

There are many, many quotes from the King James Bible in A Course In Miracles. As you read the Course, therefore, you are in one sense
reading the essence of the Bible as well. Jesus has offered ACIM as
a roadmap inward to the Kingdom of Heaven, clarifying and
illuminating the message of forgiveness and the remembrance of God's
Eternal Love. The Bible and ACIM serve the same Purpose when
offered to the Holy Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit Guide you directly
as to what would be most helpful, and feel the peace that come from
listening to and following the Voice for God.

Love Always,

David

David,

Your treading on dangerously thin ice, to use a well worn winter cliche'.
I've not heard about the content/tone of "ACIM" in quite some time, people
in Amway have quoted it for decades.

Be very cautious when adding or taking away from scripture, once you
equate non-biblical texts as equal to the Word of God, your asking for
trouble.

Yes, it's obvious the Holy Spirit has to guide and direct, but don't give
too much credence to motivational/life-lesson type writings.
