There's a christian contemporary song that I used to listen to around the
late 80's to the early 90's on the radio and I can only remenber these
words:

On a day like today
On a day like today
Its good to have a friend like you

Does anyone by chance know who the group was that sung it (because I do know
that it was sung by a group) and the title of the song?

Thanks in advance.

Not a group, actually, it was Chris Christian with guest vocals by
Gerry Beckley of America. The song's title was, appropriately, 'Day
Like Today.'

The song was released on both his own album, 'Higher Ways' and on the
soundtrack to the Lou Diamond Phillips movie 'Dakota' which also
featured some excellent soundtrack work and other tracks from Mark
Heard & Wayne Watson.... They were released in 87 and 88
respectively...

FYI, all of Chris' work is available on his website at
www.homesweethomerecords.com.

Please support him. Considering that there are _very_ few labels out
there that actually release older (ie 70's & 80's) CCM to CD, it is
even that much more important to support a small time player like
Chris in his incredible effort to make these classic albums
available....
